1. SAWORO IDE
you can also call it "THE MAGIC DRUM" (a nick I personally give to the movie).
This movie talks about a town 'JOGBO' and her corrupt King (LAPITE) and Chiefs, who connived with the 'AGEGEDUS' (wood cutters) to extort the citizens, milked the land badly and collected excessive taxes. They lived extravagance life at the expense of the citizens. The king was brought down in a coupe by a military man (LAGATA) who also got power drunk and trampled on the rites and custom of the land. The land was saved by this magic drum which as a connection with the king. A king was suppose to have an incision that will prevent him from been harmed whenever this drum is beaten. Lagata refused the incition and later died of headache as the drum was beaten to bring him down. Produced by Tunde Kalani of Mainframe
2. AGOGO EEWO
You can call it 'THE FORBIDDEN GONG' (my personal nick for the movie).
It's the continuation of 'SAWORO IDE'. But this time there rise a new King after the demise of 'LAPITE' the corrupt one. He is a better king as he had a good heart to cleanse the land and make it corruption free. He was invited by the corrupt Chiefs of the old era who had the mind of continuing in their corrupt acts but to their surprise, he turn his back on them. The chiefs still desperate for a life of corruption won't stop until they eventually met their doom when 'AGOGO EEWO' proved its potency. Produced by Tunde Kalani of Mainframe
3. OLEKU (PART 1&2)
This is a college movie short in the prestigious University of Ibadan, Ibadan. Produced by Tunde Kalani of Mainframe.
Yemi Sodimu stared in this movie as 'AJANI', a Casanova who is truly in love with 'ASAKE' and is ready to walk her down the aisle, but ASAKE's father is against their relationship and did all he could to stop them, he even employed the service of a fake prophet to tell Asake that Ajani is not her divinely elected husband. Asake got pregnant for Ajani but had to abort it out of her fair for her father which later left her with complications and Ajani had to marry a younger girl. The movie also features Saka, Efunsanta, Eda Onile Ola and others. Also produced by Tunde Kalani of Mainframe.
4. MAGUN (THUNDERBOLT)
This is a cool family drama movie that centers on TRUST in a home.
It tells the story of a Yoruba man who went for MAGUN to track his reportedly promiscuous Igbo wife, but he was wrong, the other man is just a friend of his wife who is a doctor that doesn't believe in African myths. Magun will kill who ever bears it if he or she doesn't have sex in 7 days and will also kill whoever lies with the man or woman within its day of activation.
This man can't have sex with his wife because he knew what he had done. The native doctors told her to look for a volunteer to sleep with her and they will be there to rescue him from the grip of death. She met her old school mate who happened to her land lady's nephew, (this woman has actually been nice, loving supportive and caring to her in her ordeal) but she can't just let her nephew stroll into death's den just for the sake of free sex from an old friend, so this lady failed.
The doctor volunteered out of his thirst to prove that African's believes are nothing but myth. He told 2 of his professional colleagues to take charge but they couldn't. Thanks to the native doctors that rescued him. The movie featured the late 'SERIKI' of saworo ide. Produced by Tunde Kalani of Mainframe.
5. BASHORUN GAA
The movie is titled after a man 'BASHORUN GAA' (a monster actually) who lived in the old Oyo empire, though he wasn't the king but lived the life no king has ever lived, he empowered his nephews to commit crimes of which there's no one to bring them to justice. He even murdered the king's only daughter for a ritual that renews his age because the king announced in the public that he would want her to step into his shoes when he's gone. Tired of Bashorun's atrocities, the king sort for the help of 'AARE ONA KAKANFO' of Ibadan who helped bring Bashorun Gaa down in a war. The movie featured Tunbosun Odunsi, Olofa Ina and others.
6. KARISHIKA
it's a movie about a devil's agent called 'KARISHIKA' who was sent to go after God's ministers and bring them. She actually succeeded in all her missions but one. A young minister who also almost fell prey but rescued by God's grace.
7. CROSS OF LOVE (PART 1&2)
Chidie Mokeme co-stared with Stephanie Okereke in this 'cliche' love story.
Chidie acted the poor boy who fell in love with a rich girl (Stephanie) and as usual, the girl's father wasn't in support of their love life, he did all he could to bring them down, but didn't succeed, he even had the entire family relocate to USA just to separate them, but like u guessed, fate has its own way of bringing the two love birds together.
I love this movie particularly because it did three things to me;
> It made me take Stephanie Okereke for Genevieve Nnaji.
>Made me crush on Stephanie
> Got me searching for the 3rd part since over a decade till date as it seems the story never ended in the 2nd part. Please if anyone has the link to download the 3rd part, kindly drop it in the comment box.
